Fulfillment Coordinator (Part-Time Seasonal)

Job Description:**

**General Description/Purpose**

The primary function of the

Fulfillment Coordinator is assist customers with in-store pickup. This includes

monitoring and overseeing alerts/queues and action items, ensuring orders are

picked and staged at the pick-up desk, processing and finalizing paperwork,

closing out the transaction, locating the customer's merchandise from its

pre-staged location, and providing the customer with their merchandise, and

assisting with loading if necessary., , The Fulfillment Coordinator is

responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting customers,

fulfilling customer requests, identifying customer needs, and handling customer

concerns. The Fulfillment Coordinator is expected to execute daily assigned

tasks and maintain product knowledge. The Fulfillment Coordinator is also

responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment by conducting

daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping work areas clean and organized,

and monitoring for potential theft or security risks. Lastly, the Fulfillment

Coordinator is responsible for completing all other duties as assigned.

**Work Schedule**

Hourly Part Time: Generally

scheduled 10 to 25 hours per week, more hours may be required based on the

needs of the store.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Uses system (e.g., Genesis, Sterling) to enter and retrieve

information regarding inventory, order management, and special ordering.

- Receives and directs calls appropriately; and answers

phones and speaks with customers and Store Associates over the phone or other

communication devices.

- Provides customer service by greeting all customers,

listening to and identifying customer needs and requests;

- Identifies and resolves customer pick-up issues

- Conducts bin and/or bay Audits to monitor inventory.

- Responsible for ensuring all pickup orders are picked and

staged timely

- Communicates with Assistant Store Manager (ASM) about

fulfillment area (e.g., staffing, projects, products, stock), by providing

verbal briefings over the phone or in-person; sending emails containing status

reports; writing reports; and conducting walks of fulfillment area, bays, or

inventory to review status.

- Checks e-mail for communication from the Store Manager or

Assistant Store Manager (ASM), Execution Management System (EMS) tasks, or

other sources; and completes assigned tasks (e.g., resets, recalls, communicate


- Operates store equipment as needed (e.g., LRT, telephone,

paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, key cutter, panel saw, paint

mixer, blind cutter, tile cutter, vinyl cutter, forklifts, pallet jacks,

electric lifts, iPhone, compacter bailer).

- Ensures

compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., area recovery) to

maintain Store (including working areas) cleanliness and organization; areas

the store and prepares it for business the next day by organizing merchandise

(e.g., straightening shelves), sweeping the aisles, and picking up trash and

**Lifting Techniques** :

The ability to properly lift heavy objects or equipment. This includes the

knowledge of correct bending and lifting techniques as needed to properly

position and use one's hands, feet, legs, arms, and back to lift objects or

equipment, and to push, pull, and carry heavy objects.


**Equipment** : The

ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job



**Harness** : The ability

to wear the safety harness to perform job functions.

**Stamina** : The ability to exert oneself

physically over long periods of time. This may include performing repetitive or

strenuous tasks as well as standing and sitting for long periods.


**Working Conditions** :

The willingness and ability to work in cramped/tight working conditions where

mobility is restricted.


**Acuity** : The ability

to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels,

signs, video displays including iPads) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a

safe and efficient manner.


**Conditions** : The

ability to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where

applicable, under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat,

inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant/intermittent sounds.

**Minimum and Preferred Qualifications**



High School

Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

(addition, subtraction).

**AND** Experience with computer and

web-based systems (e.g., email, web-based applications, delivery/scheduling

systems, online ordering systems, training).

**AND** 6 months retail experience providing

customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues,

assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones,

building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their

merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down

stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and

experience in a customer service position at a home improvement or hardware

retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and
